The Gherkin — 30 St Mary Axe
Scope
A complete lighting upgrade inside one of London's most recognisable buildings — 30 St Mary Axe, the Gherkin. Across the floors, ageing fluorescent fittings were replaced throughout with high-efficiency LED, the DALI lighting control system was upgraded, and the controls were fully recommissioned and reprogrammed. Moving from fluorescent to LED cut the lighting energy load considerably, reducing running costs and helping lower the building's carbon footprint — delivered with the care and discretion that working in an iconic, occupied tower demands.
